I'm a graduate of USCB. I'm originally from Florida. I'm majoring in Computational Science, because I enjoy programming, problem-solving, and the creative aspect. Through projects done in class, I could experience the many ways to use programming skills. Making stimulations, databases, data analysis, or just all-purpose programming. My favorite part is the transferrable skills, once you learn the syntax of one programming language, it's easy to learn the rest.
I have experience programming in Java, C++, R, Excel VBA, and Python. I learned enough MATLAB to implement functions. I would say one of my strengths is that I'm very logical, my code is organized and solved in the shortest most logical way. I'm a big fan of readability, and comments.
One of my favorite pastimes is doing puzzles. Whether it be a standard jigsaw puzzle, or something more like a Sudoku. My favorite puzzle is probably Kakuro, followed by word fill-in. Other than that, I like playing cards. Single player games like Solitaire, Demon, and Casket.
I am also fond of playing games. I don't play video games as much as I did when I was a kid, but whenever I have time, I try to play. I'm currently trying to get through the Final Fantasy series-- one of my favorite series. Aside from Final Fantasy, I'm pretty fond of Fire Emblem, and Mario games.
My final hobby is programming! Last summer I worked on two of my personal projects, and I have many more planned. Nowadays, I try to further my knowledge of coding using leetcode, the Google Tech Dev, and even Meta's coding challenges. Programming is fun, I'm glad I chose this field to study because I enjoy it so much.
